A new funding opportunity offers in-kind support to local nonprofit garden clubs across the United States. Up to 20 clubs will each receive $250 worth of organic gardening supplies and potting soil to support community-focused greening projects. Available annually, this grant supports installations like pollinator plots, school gardens, urban beautification, or other horticultural initiatives—particularly those that involve environmental education, community engagement, and ecological stewardship.

Eligible applicants are nonprofit garden clubs affiliated with a national network; individuals and for-profit businesses do not qualify. Preference is given to proposals that include before‑and‑after photos, project plans or sketches, and clear intentions for sustainable community impact. Projects must take place in the U.S., and clubs may submit one application per cycle.

Grants are awarded once a year, with applications accepted from October 1 through May 31, and awards announced in late July. After implementing the project, recipients must provide project completion photos and a brief summary, often by mid‑spring of the following year. Successful projects may be featured on social media and local press, with some clubs eligible for additional recognition or awards based on project strength.

In summary, this annual in-kind grant empowers nonprofit garden clubs in various U.S. regions to enhance local environments through organic gardening projects. Funds are modest but impactful—designed to catalyze community involvement, environmental education, and beautification efforts in underserved or high-visibility public spaces.
